About this service

What to expect

We clean rugs in place when the backing and fibres can handle water. Antique, silk, viscose and loose-dye rugs sometimes should not be wet-cleaned. If we are unsure, we stop and tell you.

What’s included

  • Fibre and backing check
  • Pre-treatment
  • Extraction
  • Drying position advice

Perfect for

  • Wool and synthetic floor rugs
  • Rugs that cannot easily leave the house

Our process

How the clean runs

  1. 1

    Test

We check colourfastness where a discreet test is possible.

  2. 2

    Clean

The wand lifts soil and the pattern should look clearer where soil was the problem.

  3. 3

    Dry

Air under the rug helps. Thick wool can take most of a day in the wet season.
